Come to one of our Idea Parties!

All of us have more odd bits of information floating around in our heads than we know we've got.  We're constantly reading and overhearing things and filing them away, forgetting we even have them until someone else's need suddenly yanks them into the limelight.

An Idea Party gives you the opportunity to benefit from everyone else's 'odd bits of information' (and their contacts, ideas and resources too)...

Here's what happens:

1. Once a month we hold an Idea Party in a Central Manchester venue on Saturday morning from 10 am to 1 pm.

2. First things first - Breakfast! (Coffee and a bacon butty or danish pastry.)

3. After initial introductions, we go around the group - one by one. When it's your turn, you tell us your dream, idea or wish and your obstacle - the thing that's stopping you from going ahead with your idea or wish, (e.g., I don't know how to…, I can't afford to…, I need a business partner, I have a problem with child care, or anything else you can think of.)

4. The whole group will then brainstorm your idea - we'll come up with as many inventive solutions as we can to your problem and you’ll get the benefit of a whole variety of different ideas and perspectives – not just your own!   Each brainstorming session is timed,  so that everyone in the group gets the same amount of time and attention.

5. At the end of the brainstorming session, when every member of the group has had their turn, the party goes on... we push the tables back to allow group members to mix and mingle.  This is when people get to know each other. By this time, you're sure to have some questions for other members of the group, or maybe you have more suggestions or advice to give than you had time for during the brainstorming.

6. At 1 pm, when the Idea Party is officially over, you can carry on talking to your new friends over lunch at our venue (at your own expense). Or you can arrange to buddy up with someone else to offer each other mutual support and encouragement via phone, email, instant messaging or in person.  Or you can join one of our regularly-forming Success Teams.

At our Idea Parties, you'll meet new people, do some first class networking, and get to know others who are in the process of making their dreams come true.  And never underestimate the difference it can make when you meet someone who can hand you a missing piece of your puzzle...  maybe you'll find out something that completely changes your life!  At the very least, you’ll probably leave with a list of new friends and contacts!

What do I need? Just your dream/idea/wish and your obstacle and a notebook and pen to jot down all the ideas generated…

Please note:  Because of catering arrangements and the fact that we have a maximum of 20 places per Idea Party, we are unable to accept people who turn up on the day without making a booking beforehand.  If you want to come along, please ensure you get your place (and your bacon butty!) by making a booking first.
